The initial evaluation is always free!

If I have quoted you a price or discount in the past six months, but have since changed my fees, I will honor the previous quote.

Tutoring sessions are more than simply helping with homework. The purpose of tutoring is to understand the material better, and that means we won’t necessarily do homework during the session. Sometimes I may actually assign more homework. My goal is to help you learn and understand, not become a trained monkey.

Tutoring sessions are logged beginning at the meeting time we agreed on, with up to five minutes grace. Sessions are logged in 15-minute increments.

If you need to cancel an appointment, please contact me as soon as possible so that the time will be available to another student. There will be a charge of ½ hour of tutoring time for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice. Appointments canceled with less than ½ hour notice will be subject to the missed appointment fee.

If you are late to an appointment without calling me, I will wait at least 15 minutes for you to arrive, after which there will be a missed appointment fee equivalent to one hour of tutoring time. In the rare situation that I cannot avoid being late to an appointment, I will call, and will give an appropriate discount.

Payment is accepted in the form of cash or personal check and is due on the day tutoring takes place. If a check is returned for non-sufficient funds, there will be an additional fee of $30 which is due before the next tutoring session takes place. After a dishonored check, cash will be the only acceptable form of payment in the future.

If a student prepays and later discontinues tutoring with a credit balance, the remainder may be refunded at my discretion, depending on the situation.
